Walked many a mile around USAF bombers, fighters, cargos, transport jets. Don't have a single pic. My fave at the time were the A10, F18, and FB111. The F117 and B2 were still classified, but you could get a model of them. Go figure.
I was stationed in Spain when the F4 was still in the Air Force inventory. One of the things I remember most about them is that if you were behind them, the engines sounded muffled, but if you were off to the side, it was teeth shattering loud.
We had a site that was a quarter of a mile from the approach end of the runway, on center line. About 10 seconds after an F4 would fly directly overhead to land, there would be a swirling wind that you could hear. It was like a mini tornado, too high to feel, but close enough to hear. No other aircraft made that sound or wind.

Yep, SP, specialized in SS ( security specialist) and third or so flight to cross train with US Army for ABGD. (Air base ground defense) basically, the air force version of infantry/ recon
