I've heard of Hachi: A Dog's Tale. It's a genuine tear jerker.

"the 50 best" is certainly abit of an exaggeration, I'm sure there are lots of other great movies that tanked at the box office undeservedly. but those certainly are 50 interesting movies that somehow failed to get the attention they deserved. I've seen no more tham six of them and easily two dozen or so sound interesting enough to watch them.
