That price in Vancouver of $5.50 looks low so it must be USD. I'd say average in CAD is easily $7.50-8 for even a half decent beer. Lot of microbreweries charge closer to $10 at restaurants

Its certainly more than $6.10 in Sydney, you'd get a schooner for $6.10 - a pint would be around $9-$10 (Unless its USD)
