"by the rules" doesnt mean quite so much when you have a rule specifically altered to let refs decide upon a whim how to call something, make up whatever explanation they please, it doesnt even need to be coherent (like "he didnt make a football move") and that's that..the betting tables go the way the fix calls it, and some people I guess enjoy this perverted "nfl"

I'm glad you agree that in any sane iteration of the nfl, and by pretty much 99% of its history, that is hands down a reception.

I saw the play, watched the replays, and said, "that's not a catch".

Calvin Johnson vs the Bears was more of a catch that that one.
