My other half is a huge Sale fan so I get updated on like EVERY start.

What was the stat... only 4 pitches have ever gotten to 20+ strikeouts in 20 or less starts? Sale being #4 this year, I believe. If he keeps it up, he might get his first Cy Young.

As long as he can stay healthy and doesn't have some kind of collapse, he is easily the front runner in the AL for the Cy Young. He also reached double digits in strikeouts for the 15th time this season, the first time that's been done since Randy Johnson in 2002.

I'll give them credit. Kenny Williams (he's a dick) has gone halfway between rebuild and veteran-buyer for years so they are always mediocre. But Rick Hahn said "enough, we're rebuilding from the ground up" and they have stuck to the plan so far. They now have the #1 ranked farm system in the league.

Good for them, it's a hard road to go down because it does upset the fans and makes the attendance go down. The hardcore fans stick around because they see the bigger picture, but the casual and bandwagon fans abandon the team so fast it's ridiculous.

I'm calling it. Mark this post. The St Louis Cardinals will win the NL Central Division this year.

Cards won again, only 1 game back of the Cubs now

Red Sox and Yankees have a 3 game set in the Bronx this weekend. Sale is going to get the start on Sunday evening for Sunday Night Baseball.

Sox take 2 outta 3 from the Yankees And their 10th win outta the last 11 games

Sale pitched a gem last night (12 K's and one run in 7 innings), too bad the Sox offense took the night off and he ended up with a no decision

I watched the game through when Sale was done. He was awesome. I consider that a shutout performance. That missed catch by Mookie was absolutely an error.
