They could always be resigned. Amaro is just trying to free up some cash right now. He's got $110.5 million tied up in contracts for 9 players. Both Madson and Rollins are free agents this year, so we're gonna see how bad the Phillies want to keep the both of them. I'm predicting that Madson is gonna go. I think Scott Boras is his agent, so they're gonna be going for some huge $$$.

I've never heard him say that. In everything I've read about this, he and his agent both said he'd like to stay with the Phillies regardless of the role in the bullpen he plays.
When you've got a 49 year old in Jamie Moyer looking to come back and pitch, it's hard to believe that someone younger like Lidge would even consider retiring.
