The Rangers are all set to fall back to a suck ass team. They have not signed any free agent of note, and lost a lot of offense.
Just imagine the Angels lineup with Pujols, Hamilton and Trout back-to-back-to-back!

Looks like the Rangers picked up C AJ Pierzynski on a one-year deal. It doesn't look like Mike Napoli will be back. Sources say he's shipping up to Boston.

I loved watching Charlie Hough pitch when he was with the Rangers. For one year, they could have Hough pitch one game and Nolan Ryan pitch the next. Talk about screwing up a hitter's timing!

Charlie once took a no hitter into the bottom of the ninth against California, leading 1-0. Left fielder George Wright misjudged a fly ball for a three base error. The next batter broke up the no hit bid, scoring the runner at third, and the Rangers eventually lost 2-1. The TV post-game show lasted 20 minutes and they signed off the air with a live shot of the dugout. George Wright was sitting by himself on the bench, still in uniform, completely in the dark as all the stadium lights had been turned off.
Charlie once tried a pick-off play by stepping off the rubber, quickly bending down and throwing the ball between his legs. The ball went wide of first, allowing the runner to take second. He never tried that move again.
