The Cubs acquired veteran pitcher Dan Haren from the Miami Marlins. Haren, 34, who can become a free agent after this season, is 7-7 with a 3.42 ERA with a 1.093 WHIP in 21 starts. Haren has made at least 30 starts in each of his past 10 seasons with Oakland, Arizona, the Los Angeles Angels, Washington and the Dodgers.
And the Dodgers are paying his salary.
