    Discussion Scotch (Whiskey/Whisky/Bourbon) Discussion Thread

I am always interested in advice/recommendations from others for scotches/whiskeys as I get together with a group about once a month to try something different. I personally don't like a lot of peat (except on rare occassions).

I'd like to keep this a somewhat serious discussion thread if possible at a place like this...

    Anybody have any great suggestions/favorites?

Macallan is pretty decent....... my own personal favourite is the Balvenie Doublewood (or signature), nice speyside malt so no peatyness

Best single malt I've tried to date.

If you're looking for a good blend, then johnnie walker green is pretty amazing too.

I've tried them all, and greens the best. Black label is my daily, but special occasions I'll get a bottle of green. Blue label is actually worse then Red label
