I was hoping he would come back for just one more year since we got the winter classic next year, but oh well. It's gonna be weird without him. But if we can adjust to life without Yzerman we can adjust to life without Lidstrom. On the plus side this frees up room to go after Ryan Suter, especially if Holmstrom retires too.His name belongs on those rafters, no doubt. He was my favorite player for a lot of years, had his jersey and aspired to play his defensive-defenseman style. The games going to miss a player with that kind of class.

Hey Lance what's your take on Tim ThomasFirst he's talking about a taking year off (even though that could still fall under Boston's cap). That's one thing if you're worn down, but now we're hearing from a reputable source that he relocated his family to a compound with full deep earth survival bunker in the mountains in Colorado and needs time off to get ready ..... again just before the game today he posts articles about how the world is about to face a huge financial meltdown and to be ready and shit.

He probably watched one of those late night commercials featuring some "Economist" talking about how the world economy was going to collapse and how the dollar was going to fall. What's funny is the whole commercial gives you a weblink and when you follow it and watch it, at the end, he asks you to buy his advice to avoid it... asking for payment in US dollars.

Another great game! Should be interesting to see how the Devils handle the 6 hour flight and time difference with the game being on Monday. Someone told me today they haven't played outside their time zone in 3 months
I'm in first place in my playoff pool by 4 points, but the guy behind me has 4 more players still in this than I do. Going to be VERY tight. Ideally LA wins the next two in low scoring games and I'm laughing to the bank

I don't know about 3 months but every team in the playoff's Eastern conference bracket this year are in the Eastern time zone so the Devils haven't faced a time change so far in the playoffs.Someone told me today they haven't played outside their time zone in 3 months
