Avs couldn't hold a lead. Real bummer, but the future is super bright for them. The Sharks on the other hand Only the fourth team in history to blow a 3-game lead and lose a series.
The NHL has the schedule right. Game 1 of round 2, Habs-Bruins starts tomorrow!
it's awesome being able to count on hockey every night, i love it
So I guess I'm rooting for the underdogs... except for New York. I hate both teams in that series, so as far as I'm concerned they can both suck eggs.

Fair enough DGX! This is off-topic and I hate to generalize but I really do think Americans share a love for the Underdog at the genetic level. Not a bad thing, it's just an observation. Is that an unfair one?
Anyways. I'm pulling for Pitt over NYR (Sid needs another Cup) and Habs over Bruins in the East. Hawks over Wild and Ducks over LA in the West (Teemu needs one last Cup).

I don't really think about that, but I think that is a fair assessment. If it's not my home team, not one of my home team's rivals, and it's not a yearly dominating team with star power galore, then I might root for them. I like to see underdogs do well; it makes for a more exciting playoffs. But I guess that's just me wanting to watch good games since I'm investing my time into watching them.
I can't root for Pitt or NY. I'm not going to root for Boston since they've won the Cup recently, so I'm looking for Montreal to come out of the East. I can't root for the Blackhawks, nor the Ducks. Honestly, I think I'd like to see the Wild come out of the West. Probably not gonna happen, but what the hell? They've got one of those scrappy fight until their dead type of teams. They've been really fun to watch.

Or maybe I can root for Boston given what happened last year. I rooted for the Red Sox in the World Series...
