Down 5-2 with under five minutes left in the game, the Anaheim Ducks needed all the help they could against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. Unexpectedly, Nashville defenseman Ryan Suter was willing to lend a hand … for a deflection off of his glove and into his own net on a Teemu Selanne shot.
As own-goals go, that one was pretty tame. But with 27 seconds remaining in the game, Suter struck again on behalf of the Ducks, putting the puck past goalie Pekka Rinne in a rather unique fashion: By kicking it out of the air and into his own net.
