great that looked like a separated shoulder reaction last night from Jimmy Howard, perfect timing

I read it's not that bad and he'll be back this week
Oh look, Philly's hosting Boston tonight.
Too bad we haven't won a game against them yet.

Blackhawks choked last night.
8th place now!
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
Looks like Calgary and Dallas are knocking on the door. The good thing is neither one of them play again until Tuesday (Dallas in Phoenix, Calgary hosts Anaheim on Wednesday), yet you have games tomorrow (in Detroit) and Tuesday (in Boston). So you have a few chances to make up some ground.
I'm hoping that the Habs can AT LEAST score a goal tomorrow...getting shutout 4 times in a row...last time that happened...1928
Ouch
Meanwhile, the Canucks picked up win number 50, making this their best season in franchise history!!!

Fuck, Dan Hamhuis got another concussion... second of the season. Fourth of his career. He's not happy, even grumbled about retirement if it happens again. Can't say I blame him, you don't recover from these things.
Not good to lose our best D-man again right before the playoffs. Going to be going in without Edler, Hamhuis and Malhotra... all guys who play really strong in certain situations with the former two being our arguably our strongest two defensemen. The Canucks will cope, and we're not the only one hurting at all ... but it sure wouldn't have hurt to not lose another big player to a crummy injury
(I think the Pens have played 4 games all season with their biggest four players and yet even without Crosby and Malkin they're doing very well)
Funny though... Hamhuis and Malhotra are the two guys we picked up over the summer everyone was pumped about. The two guys we thought put us over the top to give us this run we're on. It'll be interesting to see how their impact is felt.

Canucks play Nashville tonight... traditionally one of the most boring teams in the NHL to play
That being said, it's a possible playoff matchup so they'll have to take it seriously
