seems like Ricky Rubio was a helpful draft choice after all. If they keep playing the way they did the last few games they might well make the playoffs or at least finish the season with a winning record. That'd be a huge improvement. I'm sure Kevin Love would like to see some playoff action rather sooner than later...

seems like a wise decision by D'Antoni. Seeing how several teams are doing a lot worse than expected, there will be many new head coaching jobs to fill come summer. And if the Knicks management would rather miss the playoffs than rein in on Carmelo Anthony, it's a bad place for any coach to work at. did you read that they plan on coaxing Phil Jackson out of retirement? What a riot. I can't think of a franchise in professional sports with a worse performance as compared to its potential than the Knicks.

It's a shame too, because talent-wise, Carmelo is a top 5 player offensively, but his defense is pretty horrible. He's a 'stats player', all he cares about is his numbers and if he isn't going to be the star in NY than he will want to do it somewhere else. He couldn't care less about the whole team.

He's the one that forced Denver to trade him to NY, he got exactly what he wanted, and now the whole 'grass is always greener' doesn't look so good now that he's on the other side of the fence.

he could do the Bobcats a world of good, or maybe take his talents to South Beach...seriously though, which team would be dumb enough to trade decent players for him?

Maybe a team in desperate need of a star that can score? The only problem is that defensively he gives up as many points that he scores for you.

And I doubt that he would go someplace like Miami, already too many big names there and Melo definitely needs to be the one in the spotlight the whole time.

Maybe he could end up with the Nets after they move to Brooklyn?

he's from new York originally, isn't he? that might help with marketing, but he seems to be downright toxic for his teams so the Nets would probably be ill advised to trade for him

Just another example of why I don't care about the NBA anymore. It's a player's league and if they don't like something like where they're playing or who they're playing for they just whine until they get their way. Reportedly D'Antoni "lost" the locker room. What a joke, you're a professional b-ball player you should be able to play in any system. This whole situation with Dwight Howard is real annoying too.
