its shaq's fault
didn't howard waive a certain clause in his contract with the Magic so they'll at least be able to trade him if he leaves at the end of the season? if that's correct it seems like he treated them OK even if he made too big a production of it.
Yes, he had an 'early termination' clause in his contract where he could have basically opted out at the end of this season, which is what the Magic thought he was going to do (and every sign pointed that way as well). So that left Orlando with only 2 choices, trade him so they can get something for him now or take the chance that he wouldn't opt out and play out his contract, when it was clear he was leaning towards opting out.
He waived, in writing, his early termination clause yesterday about an hour before the trade deadline, so he will be with Orlando through the end of next season when his contract will be up and he becomes a free agent.
so basically he's giving them about six months to improve the squad enough to turn them into a contender and if that fails trade him? Seems like a wise choice because there's no telling how it would pan out if he had been traded this late in the season.
in related news, I think Dallas did well not to trade anyone now. There were no players on the market that would have helped for sure right now except maybe for Pau Gasol. And after the fiasco with Lamer Odom, I'm not sure they wanted to risk having another frustrated Lakers castaway to pamper back into form. Now they can try and develop the existing squad. If they make the playoffs at all, anything can happen there.
Welcome back to Denver you LA bitches
Fucking Lakers...... but dont worry they just wanted to win in your town to make it sting that much more....bu by Denver
You better hope the Lakers can win here in Denver, they definitely don't want a game 7....anything can happen in a game 7
The Lakers looked old and tired last night except for Kobe...by game 7 they will be dead on their feet
Kobe was killing the end of the 4th quarter. Game 7 would be back in LA, thats a win if it comes to that. The Lakers love to drag the playoffs out, they have bonuses tied to it
I am fixed
"Somedays I wake up and feel like nobody loves me. Other days I wake up and feel like I love nobody. Sometimes I wake up and feel tired, and worn out. Sometimes I wake up and feel like I cannot face the day. But someday I'll wake up and realize that waking up is pretty stupid because it just makes you feel like crap."
LAKERS!!!
BULLS!!! Oh wait... stupid free throws. dumb sixers.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
