is it just me, or does the outcome of this game not seem as historic as the announcers/experts are making it seem?
I guess you have to be a big fan of soccer. It's not as historic to me either, but it's cool to get revenge on a team that's been our Achilles' heel in the past two tournaments. History will be made if we win the entire shebang, but we have a long and extremely hard road to get through to that.
Personally, seeing what I've seen so far, right now I'm thinking that Germany or the Netherlands could take the whole thing.

If we can pick up a point or two in the next couple of matches, we should be able to advance out of group play.
We're up against Portugal next. If they play as crappy against us as they did the Germans, we'll be fine. But I have a feeling they're gonna come out on fire after suffering the embarrassment they suffered today at the hands of the Germans.
