I wish I had the time to go into this right now Lance, but there is an elegance and splendor to a draw...it's what makes footie so great. And the penalty kickout seen in games that must have a definitive winner is an incredible sight.
But the draw is part of what makes soccer the Beautiful Game.
I understand your point of view, I grew up at a time when soccer was widely derided here in the states and had the same attitude as yours...until I watched it. Now, it's the only sport I can watch regularly, because all others pale in the extreme beside it.
There is a wonder to the game that comes to you after a time, something special about it. How every goal can shift the style of play, the aforementioned draws, the balletic magnificence of well play football...no other sport can touch that.
And for the record, some of the best matches I have ever seen, ones that had me shouting and barely able to contain myself, and that left me feeling really great long after the game ended, were in fact draws.
