My point is that the South is all hardcore Christian, and I don't really see the majority of them voting for a Mormon. I know, it's ridiculous, but that's just the way people are down here. He may get some love in the major metropolitan areas, but every where else in the Southern states, if historical trends are anything to go by, he'll be a sitting duck. I don't know how strong a motivator the idea of "getting Obama out of the White House" would be to the majority of these people. I'm not entirely sure it would override what they've been inclined to do for the past 30-40 years.

I don't care for Romney, but it's not because he's Mormon. I like Perry because he's for state's rights, but he'll never make it now. Ron Paul is my choice at this point.
