Three guys from Last Podcast on the Left podcast (they loosely cover serial killers, cryptids, alien stuff, with large amounts of humor) are over in the UK right now doing a huge tour. Everywhere from Scotland, Ireland and parts of England.
One guy, Henry, is known as a culinary daredevil as he will eat anything. Organs, brains, the works.
They're normally very gracious when touring but the other day Henry says they've been there a couple of weeks and he's getting this craving for anything other than boiled or fried foodsHe said he actually needed vegetables or maybe some take out because the local fare was getting a little old

I'd say the most common Scottish meal for the working class would be mince and tatties, fish is a bit too pricey to have daily
