Update...still saving...probably will get a new car next year. Both cars holding on - the NX is now practically worthless - since the Tsunami in Japan, a lot of factories that stockpiled parts aren't there anymore.

The oily bits are still available and I can get stuff from RockAuto, but it ain't cheap so the writing's on the wall.

I'm still driving my 99 explorer and have no plans to upgrade at all. Ever, if I can help it. and I really dont ever want to have to tolerate an automatic transmission.

    1995 dollars....= about $1.56 in today's dollars.

In my driveway: 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab (my truck) @284,000 miles, bought new for about $22,000.
    2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 (wife's car) @80,000 miles, bought new in 2009 for $18,000
2000 Ford Ranger (daughter's truck) @200,000 miles (180,000 when I bought it) Think I bought it 2 years ago for about $3,700.
2012 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 1500 (company truck) @80,000 miles, free with a gas card so fuel is free too. (My new 2500 Chevy should be ready next week)

I'd like to replace my Ram with a new(er) truck and more power, but, nothing is wrong with it, and don't want the ridiculous payments a newer $30,000 truck would entail.
Currently saving $$ for more home renovations, daughters college, and a boat.

Edit: technically, I still own the 1999 Camaro Z28. I gave it to my Mom about 2 years ago, and she still hasn't transferred the tittle. I think it has about 240,000 miles on it.
Also around back is a 1976 Chevy C-10 Step side that was my Dad's first new truck. It's totally gone, and not worth restoring, but just can't seem to haul it off to the junkyard.

Was it crap? Damn, we need something with a bed and figured Toyota was the way to go. We need 4 doors and a bed, we currently have an old 90's toyota pickup for recycling and the dump and wait not. Wouldnt want to fill the back of a 4runner with empty beer bottles

No, it wasn't crap.. It just didn't fit my needs with a 5 person family and a dog.

    Current cars:

    1992 Nissan NX 2000 - 320,000kms
    2005 Ford Freestar - 110,000kms

Probably replacing the NX with a Ford Mustang...thinking now of a 2011 - 2012 V6 next year if I can get it for about $18k.

My dad just got a new Rav4... really nice little SUV. It's great that the hitch finally opens vertically instead of from the side, and that they got rid of the tire hanging on the back. I might get one myself, but my 2005 Mazda3 doesn't really need replacing yet.
