Amy Adams Cast as Lois Lane in Superman
Us Weekly
Hope she's into Kryptonians!
Oscar-nominated Fighter actress Amy Adams, 36, has been cast to play Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane in Zach Snyder's Superman reboot, reports the L.A. Times.
"There was a big, giant search for Lois,” Snyder told paper. "It was obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."
Earlier this year Tudors actor Henry Cavill, 27, was cast as the man of steel for the flick expected to hit theaters in 2012.
Though Snyder, who's Sucker Punch took in $19 million at the box office this weekend, didn't discuss plot points of the flick, he did say that Lois will be a "linchpin" in the film.
"It goes back to what I've said about Superman and making him relevant and empathetic to today's audience," said Snyder. " That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him."

call me, maybe?
I am fixed
"Somedays I wake up and feel like nobody loves me. Other days I wake up and feel like I love nobody. Sometimes I wake up and feel tired, and worn out. Sometimes I wake up and feel like I cannot face the day. But someday I'll wake up and realize that waking up is pretty stupid because it just makes you feel like crap."

*looks around for Lance.....*
I've never liked the choices in the past for this role.To me Lois should be young, attractive, intelligent, sassy and capable.
I heard Lohan was up for the part, lost it and now may be cast as a villain in the Superman movie.
I think Lindsay Lohan would have made a great Lois Lane and owned the part. For some reason IMO, she would do the role justice.

I agree with ya Hal...why on earth was Margot Kidder cast as the original Lois Lane? She was never attractive (IMO).

and Lohan could pull off the sass needed for that part of the role too...darken her hair and I think she would have been a good fit for Lois

I don't think Lois Lane's about physical attractiveness. She's an idealized unobtainable beauty. Her appearance in comic books was the ideal woman for the times that the comic was published in. No one woman could ever expect to look as good as the ideal presented in those books, even if her original incarnation was based on a model. Lois Lane is more about the attitude, the confident independent career-driven woman. If Adams can bring that to the table, then so be it.

it's an attribute like I mentioned...but not the primary.Agreed, the character of Lois is more about how capable and savvy she is in certain situations.Like sneaking off to the bathroom at work for a couple of meth hits..Lohan would be perfect
