I'm still figuring out your Euro Card. TS is a average Top Speed I assume and RPR is a handicap of sorts I guess. Took me a minute to realize the Jockies weights were in stones too.

I think that's one of the things that holds horseracing back from the general public, the form guides are difficult to understand and tend to vary depending on what site you visit (or which newspaper you buy).

It would help if I had a little bit more understanding of how to read the card

Official Rating, that's the British Horseracing Authority figure - those figures are used in handicap races to decide what weight each horse carries. In grade 1 races they all carry the same weight (basically, the best horse should win).

The RPR is the racing post rating (Racing Post is the only horseracing newspaper in the uk) and that figure tends to be the best guide imho.

The TS rating i never bother about tbh, it means nothing since it can vary wildly depending on the going/weight

So I'm guessing the higher the rating the better

It's basically what the horse is capable of when in top form - if all horses perform to their best then the highest rated horse "should" win

Oh, and your jockey is a 7 pound claimer (young amateur with less than 25 wins to his name)
