The gays were actually run out of the park by the policeNot for just being gay, they often had relations there which angered the other users of the park.
I guess the gay folk would go into the cookshacks where there were little firepits and seating areas to have sex. Families would come in to cook burgers and weenies...and see other types of weenies
I went there last summer a couple of times and now the place is overrun by families or groups...often 20-50 people at picnic spots or cookshacks
And to get my Archie Bunker on, these huge groups always consist of non-white faces.
