Probably have a few beers next weekend, it's the annual trek up to the Bandimere Racetrack for the Mile High Nationals that me and my mate go to every year.

Gets expensive drinking at any event anymore though. I think last year the beers were either $6.50 or $7.00 and that's just for regular domestic crap.

Yeah, its the same over here - the Rolling Stones concert i was at last year they were charging £5.50 per beer........wouldn't have been so bad if it was draught beer/lager but it was just cans poured into plastic pint glasses

Yeah, i was a bit annoyed when i saw that tbh as you can buy a 24 pack of the crap they were selling for under £10 in the supermarket

They mark it way up on purpose because they know you have no choice. At least at the Nationals, there are different boots that you can get beer from and they are all run by different organizations. SO you can pick one you kinda like and buy the beer there so at least that huge profit goes towards a cause (like preventing animal cruelty for example).

I think when we were going to Montreal all the time to get drunk and go to the stripper bars, Canadian beer was $5 CAN and at the time there was a huge exchange rate between the US dollar and the Canadian dollar, so it was actually pretty cheap for us
