The mounting enclosure inside the PC for the drive doesn't come out and part of the hardwiring for the PC goes right through the whole thing. It would be a major pain in the ass to try and pull it apart to try and drill a couple of holes and without cutting it apart, I wouldn't be able to drill holes on the opposite side. I did buy an adapter so the SSD would be able to fit in where the 3-1/2" HDD was, but there are no holes in the PC to use the side holes to mount it securely.
But like we both said, an SSD is way more shock proof and has no moving parts inside, so it should be fine. The only times my PC has ever moved from where it sits is when I have added RAM and now when I went to swap out the drives.
One other thing about Lenovo that sucks. I was going to use the HDD I replaced as a storage drive but there is absolutely no place in the case nor any available connections for a 2nd drive.
