You're right - they played it on August 15, 1965. They reportedly paid a fan who had a decent reel to reel machine hooked up to the main mix a pile of cash for his tapes, which George Martin cleaned up and released a little while back.Didn't they play Shea Stadium in '65?

Is it just me or does George bear an uncanny resemblance to Spock's dad.
I watched that show! Mama knew who they were before I did and she made it a point to watch the show that night.
