I just started playing the lotteries after I quit my job a couple of years back. Never bought a ticket before that. At Co-op there was a carry out person who was mentally challenged. He would always remind people - "Did you get your lottery on the way out? Have a nice day." He carried around a ticket for about year and would show it to anyone who was interested. He didn't confirm the extra number and all seven numbers hit, right to left. At the time the payout was 100000 for all of them.
