I'd go with the cash payout option which would be $246 million...if you take the annuity, the $393 million is paid out in equal installments over 25 years
I'm gonna go get one tonight and win something

One winning ticket sold for the Mega Millions in Illinois on Friday. No winner for Powerball, jackpot will be $430 million for Wednesday.
I thought the lottery was taken away from Illinois?

I play our lotteries, no nasty taxes or 200 million tickets sold
I tried one called Poker Lotto. Five cards and you have two chances to win. First with the actual poker hands dealt and second with a straight lotto match on the exact cards/suits against a nightly pot that's around 100 thousand.
The odds are worse than most of our typical lotteries because the starting pool is 52 numbers (deck of cards), rather than 49 numbers. Lotto 649 is six numbers chosen out of 49 possible.
Powerball is $510 million for Saturday
So with your Powerball, you only need to pick three numbers?
It's amazing more people don't win it. What am I missing?
No, you have to pick 5 numbers from 1 thru 69 and then you have to pick the Powerball too which is from 1 to 26

Thanks Lance. We have a similar one here that's relatively new called the Daily Grand.
You pick five numbers out of 49 and then the bonus number is only from one through seven for the choice. Probably the best odds out of most of our lotteries.
I think there's also a way to have the ticket use each of the seven bonus numbers against your five main numbers selected.
Top prize is 1000 per day for the rest of your life, or 7 million lump sum. Next prize is 25000 a year for life, or 500000 lump sum.
