650 million?
I would buy a new keyboard for sure.
Take the immediate cash value and it's a check for $411.7 million
That's such a rip off. You lose 240 million because you don't want to gamble on the monthly stipend of 350.00 for the next 120045 months
Yeah, but if you invest that money even slightly wisely, you can turn that $411 million into a LOT more than the $650 million that you have to wait all those years to collect it
For sure I would take the immediate pay out and do what you're talking about.
Who the hell would gamble and say - Okay, I'll just take the whatever grand per year for the next 25 - 50 years because I'm sure I will live that long (and be healthy enough to enjoy it).
Can you imagine the look on the bank manager's face when you tell them you have over 400 million you want to park in their bank? You could haggle over an extra percent of interest on a basic savings account and start there. "Look pal, you give me 3% rather than 1.2% and I won't need that free toaster."
One winning ticket sold in Massachusetts, maybe I won!
*checks drivers license*
Awww
Fuuuck that was a huge win eh! Made news up here too. Wow.
She immediately quit her job and came forward to collect the money. Personally I think she's a dumbass for rushing the whole thing. There's sooooo many things you really need to do before you fling yourself into that kind of mess. Don't get me wrong, it's a good kinda mess to be thrown into but you really need to prepare for it.
She's gonna be found face-down in a river in about a year.

Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.
Or broke and destitute.
The price of a Mega Millions ticket is going up to $2 starting on Saturday. They're changing a mess of other junk too:

One of the claim methods I read about here was to take your ticket to an accredited casino and they would put in their overnight mail bag to the lottery center in eastern Canada. I realize your signature has to be on it and you will have already alerted the lotto commission, but HELL NO, I would not let the hard copy of that ticket leave my sight
One guy up here won a few million and bought a fireproof safe the same day. They make us travel to Toronto in certain situations *which I think is completely unfair* to claim large prize amounts. Can you imagine the nervousness of that plane flight/train ride/Uber journey before they validated and paid? I would collapse.
Nobody hit Powerball last night, draw is $550 million for Saturday
And Megamillions at $418 million for Friday
