Alec Baldwin is no stranger to ranting on Twitter, and this week's victim just so happened to be the also-very-opinionated Hank Williams Jr.

After defending Barack Obama's legislation over the past four years, Baldwin turned to giving his very frank thoughts on Williams, who made some not-so-nice remarks about our president during a concert at the Iowa State Fair recently.

Hank told the crowd, "We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him."

That, in turn, caused Baldwin to tweet, "If Hank Williams Jr wasn't such a pathetic, wheezing fossil, I'd have a talk with him." He added, "I think we need to call Hank Williams Jr what he is.... A broken-down, senile, racist coot."

(Is anyone else hoping these two take the podium for a legit debate?)

Last October, Williams was forced to apologize after comparing Obama to Adolf Hitler during an interview with Fox News, when he equated President Obama playing golf with Republican House Speaker John Boehner to "Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu." That comment also resulted in ESPN permanently pulling the entertainer's classic opening theme song from Monday Night Football.

Even so, a public outburst from Alec Baldwin might just top that.
