    Golf PGA/LPGA/Senior/Euro Tour

The Masters are on, how do we not have a golf thread!??!

Who were/are you cheering for this year? I really like Rory and some of the other young guys

It's time for new blood... Tiger showed some glimmers of life the other day but it's all about the new guys for me now. Seems like a lot of people who are following golf this year agree. Time for fresh faces, and they're a lot of fun to cheer for!

I like watching this Jason Day kid who shot a 64 on day two and he's my age

I knew McIlroy would blow it. He's too young to handle the pressure of all those pro's nipping at his heels. Then again I would love to shoot a 43 on the back 9 at Augusta

Its a real shame about McIlroy, would of been fantastic for him to of won it at such a young age and who knows what he would of accomplished down the line.. I fear the heartbreak of this at the Masters and what he did at St Andrews last year may of turned him into another Monty

Yeah I was really sad for him I wanted him or Tig to win it.

Rory will bounce back... he handled himself really well after the round talking to the press. He knows he has a lot of wins ahead of him

Jason Day was another impressive one. That 64 he shot on the 2nd round was incredible!!!

McIlory will have a few Major titles before he retires and if Day doesn't win a Major in the next 3 years I'll be surprised.

The most hazardous water hazard ever: a shark
By Jay Busbee - Yahoo! Golf Writer

Think golf's too boring a game? Then get down to Australia, slick, and play the Carbrook Golf Club in Queensland. The water hazard there features up to 30 real live sharks. Behold:

We're gonna need a bigger cart.

Yeah, that's a mean-looking shark and all, but I'd probably chance it if I put one of my Pro-V1s in there. Those things ain't cheap, you know.

The sharks were thought to be a myth for many years, but as you can see, that's no myth. Club officials speculate that the bull sharks, some of which are estimated at up to 10 feet long, washed into the lake during a flood in the early 1990s.

The sharks are in a lake that borders the holes, so it's not like your ball has to jump a shark, to coin a phrase. Still, the club has embraced its fearsome guests, touting the sharks' presence and hosting a monthly "Shark Lake Challenge." The club's general manager also feeds the sharks chicken, which is good as long as they don't get a taste for golfer flesh.

So for those of you thinking that the worst thing possible on a golf course happened to Rory McIlroy on Sunday, guess again. He could've been eaten.

noice! that's not a water hazard, THIS is a water hazard!

my dad was astonished at my lack of care regarding the Masters...fug that, I'd perhaps care more if I went and played the course first or something.
