Oh no doubt, and considering this will be a whole National Pride event, it's gonna be even better

Hey GF, I see the Canadian Women's Open is being held near you this year in August....you should try to go. It's gonna be at the The Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam.

I think the field must be breathing a sigh of relief that Tig didn't win today. If that guy won two events in a row, he'd dominate all season. All the same, I think Tiger is going to have a big comeback. Should be a great season

Did anyone watch the first day of the HSBC tourny? Donald, Woods and Mcllroy were paired up Not too often you get to see the Current, Past and (maybe) Future World Number 1's all playing together.

Same reason i always want Ernie Els to do well, i said "Good luck Ernie" to him at Carnoustie in '99 and he turned round to me and said "Cheers mate"......... made my day

I watched quite a bit of golf over the weekend, Rock did will to hang on with Tiger and Rory hot on his tail! Also saw the USPGA final few holes last night/this morning, Snedeker mustve had a rabbit foot in his pocket Felt sorry for the guy who lost in the play-off (Kyle Stanley?), really unlucky to roll back into the drink on one of the finishing holes

That's almost exactly how it was for me too...we were at the 10th tee and the players were starting the final round and she walked by and I said hi and wished her good luck, and she said hi and thanks back to me.

Rickie Fowler is like that too... I saw him walking from the putting greens to the teebox and a buddie and I said have a good one and he said thanks and nodded.

My boss' 7 year old kid who is a bit of a golf prodigy was watching him warm up at the range and piped up around a whole crowd of people and said "My dad doesn't like your swing" Rickie just laughed and laughed. Seems like a good guy, awesome golfer.

Some Asian woman missed a 1ft putt last night which would have won her the Kraft Nubisco championship Imagine missing a 1 footer for a major ffs

Watched a bit of it myself and couldn't help but notice that the Asian players are really dominating the womans game now........ how long before they dominate the mens too?

I dont think they will ever, not while the PGA keep the courses as long as they are, no way Asians (no disrepspec) will be hitting as long as the rest!

Man, what a shot....and coming back from 4 back on the final day...you can't ever count Tiger out. I would have to think he'll be the favorite at the US Open in 2 weeks

Love reveals his Ryder Cup picks
    GolfWeek - Alex Miceli

NEW YORK - Captain Davis Love III went with experience for the U.S. Ryder Cup team, picking Jim Furyk, Dustin Johnson and Steve Stricker on Tuesday but adding Brandt Snedeker for his first cup team as a professional.

In an announcement at the NASDAQ market site in Times Square, Love picked three players – Furyk (7), Johnson (1) and Stricker (2) – who have competed in a total of 10 U.S. Ryder Cups against the Europeans. Furyk and Stricker have experienced victory and defeat, having played in the past two cups, a U.S. loss in Wales in 2010 and a victory at Valhalla in 2008.

Johnson experienced the wet conditions of Wales and a loss in his only Ryder Cup appearance. However, his performance during the past two weeks of the Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs, in which he tied for third at The Barclays and tied for fourth at the Deutsche Bank Championship, that seemed to sway Love in the big hitter’s direction.

The combined record of Furyk, Johnson and Stricker in Ryder Cup competition is 12-20-7.

Among them, the trio recorded two Tour victories in 2012 (Stricker at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and Johnson at the FedEx St. Jude Classic) but also had some famous collapses, notably when Furyk took the 54-hole lead into the U.S. Open and WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and failed to finish it off.

Snedeker, 31, has never played on a Ryder or Presidents cup team and was not believed to be on the initial short list that included Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Furyk and Stricker.

Snedeker, who won early in the season at the Farmers Insurance Open, finished 13th in the final Ryder Cup points standings after missing the cut at the PGA Championship.

But Snedeker, who ranks first on Tour in the strokes gained-putting category, has had a strong run in the past three weeks – T-28 at the Wyndham Championship, second at The Barclays and sixth at last week’s Deutsche Bank – to win Love’s attention.

Snedeker, No. 18 in the Official World Golf Ranking, is the 10th-highest-ranked American.

The 39th Ryder Cup matches will be played Sept. 28-30 at Medinah (Ill.) Country Club’s No. 3 course near Chicago.
