Have to say i was surprised at how poorly some of the US players played.........

Charley Hull was awesome! 17 years old and giving Paula Creamer a real whooping, phenomenal golf!

Even though the US lost, it was a fun weekend out there at the Solheim Cup. Worst part about the whole weekend (other than the Americans not being able to make a putt to save their lives) was the course itself. The course was absolutely beautiful, every fairway looked like it would be a green on any other course, but it was the most fan un-friendly course I have ever been to. The place was spread out over like a bazillion acres and some of the holes had only one way to get to them and they were waaaaaaaaaaay out there. On Saturday me and my buddy must have easily walked 6 or 7 miles not being familiar with the course. And then, the paths throughout the course didn't follow the fairways much at all and some of the greens had very tiny areas for spectators to be able to see anything. And most holes had something obstructing your sight line. You can tell this was a fully private course that wasn't designed for a tournament like this. Kinda surprised the LPGA awarded the Solheim Cup to them after seeing the place in person. And I looked it up, this course is so private that it's impossible to join without an invitation.

Other than that it was pretty good. We saw a fair amount of golf considering the way the course is laid out and I was lucky enough to be at the 17th green when Norqvist made her hole in one and I was at the 7th green when the controversy during Creamer's putt happened, so that was kinda cool. Just too bad the American played like shit. The Euros outplayed them in every facet of the game and certainly deserved to win. Lots of fun being able to attend the Solheim Cup though because I doubt any international tournament will be that close to me ever again in the foreseeable future.

Oh, and big props to Caroline Hedwall for going 5-0 during the Cup. She played 36 on Friday, 36 on Saturday, and then another 18 on Sunday. That course was absolutely brutal with lightning fast greens, it was blazing hot outside, and it was an up and down course. That's just an amazing feat that she pulled off.

Yeah, she played great all 3 days! Was also nice that Catriona Matthew sunk the winning putt - Scotlands finest and a stalwart of the European team
