    My Life by Korpiklaani

My avenue, busiest and loudest in all of the Bronx (its won that title 3 years in a row, lol)

    My station (4,D,B Trains):

    Armory, 2 neighborhoods away:

This was at the station as well, thought it was funny lol

Took the train to Brooklyn to see a friend, this is the train crossing the Manhattan Bridge:

I like taking pics (not of myself though), so I will use this thread to dump my pics for your enjoyment. If anyone wants to show where they live, be my guest, I love seeing other peoples cities or towns.

I wasn't kidding when I mentioned wanting to see NY Korps. I don't travel much and we see so much of the 'mystique' of certain cities in movies, but not the actual place. NYC has always fascinated me as I'm a night guy and would love to check out the sights.

It's nice to see it from the ground up, thanks man.

We had some the first week of October my friend...and I'm the only born and bred Canadian that absolutely hates winter with a passion.

Our winters aren't as brutal as some parts of the country, but the snow falls in October and doesn't leave the ground until May.....wear me out

One huge regret I've always had was not visiting the World Trade center

I read a story in the late 70's in Reader's Digest about the French dude who tightrope walked in between the towers. I always wanted to go to the top and see what he was looking at...

    RIP for those folks..

Twas certainly a horrible day. 3 of my friends lost people they knew in the towers. I was only 13 when it happened. I went to school only 13 blocks away from the towers, I heard the "boom" and felt the rumbles of the explosion. Originally I thought it was a bad accident on the street, but the rumbles were to harsh to be an accident. My school went on complete lock down for 5 days. I remember my mother picking me up at 11am and when I went outside, I started to cough VERY badly because of all the smoke. I saw people running, people with blood all over them, debris flying everywhere, and a very chilling silence. It was the first time I ever saw the financial district (lower Manhattan) COMPLETELY empty and quiet. All you heard was the sound of coughing and crying. I remember being afraid of a low flying plane for YEARS, any loud noise scared the SHIT out of me to the point of me crying. I remember this like it was yesterday.

These are the WTC Memorial Lights. They are only put on on 9/11, every year since it happened. They are bright enough and tall enough so that anywhere in NYC, Hudson County NJ, and Westchester you can see them.

11 years later, they are almost complete. They will be open in Winter/Spring 2013. I say "they" because there are more than one of them being put up, they are just not as tall as this. I took this pic on 9/21/12, doesnt it look awesome?
