    Floriduh November in Florida Recommendations?

    Hey lads

I'm taking some clients to Miami in early November for 2 nights for a quick conference which is super cool. My wife and I have vacation around then so we're trying to tack something on to the end of my trip to take advantage of my free flights out, and I can fly her down on miles for dirt cheap.

What would you guys do if you were already in Miami and had 7-10 days vacation to plan? Maybe a roadtrip around Florida or down to the Keys? Fly somewhere nearby in the Caribbean? We've already done Austin and Nashville but any other cities in the south you'd recommend? I'm more feeling sun/sand vacay laying by a pool rather than culture and city vibes but welcome any suggestions.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not going to try to dissuade you, but you should be aware that hurricane season is in full swing down here from June 1st until December 1st. That doesn't mean you're going to see anything. In fact, November is usually pretty tame, but not always. Keep your eyes open.

As far as things to do, I have no idea.

For sure, appreciate that buddy. If there's anything sketchy on the move, the company would postpone the trip so anything I book for my wife and I, I'll make sure we have good cancellation coverage too.

Many of the locals here go to both the Keys and Ft. Myers, both are a pretty laid back vibe.

I was looking at the Keys! Is there anywhere in particular people like best?

They all go to Key West. The good news is that early Nov is at the very tail end of "Off Season" so rates should be a bit cheaper and not as crowded.

This is radical but I highly recommend the Everglades for its python and crocodile hunting (with icy-cool beer in hand).
