Tips from WMUR viewers led investigators to two men suspected in connection with a road rage incident in Middleton. James Hartford and Justin Barnes, both from Farmington, should appear in court Thursday to face charges of conspiracy to commit criminal threatening.

Investigators say the 17-year-old Hartford and 22-year-old Barnes tried to run a driver off the road after arguing with that driver and another man. Police say the argument started in Farmington but continued into Middleton.

At some point, according to investigators, the incident involved a chain saw, a bat, and a wooden pole with a knife attached. Officers say the confrontation ended when the victim pulled into the parking lot of the Farmington Police Department.

A third man, Joshua Hussey from Dover, was arrested last week.
