I don't really want to get into an argument whether the US is the greatest country in the world, no...

But I do wonder, if the US is indeed the 'greatest' country in the world ( implicitly greater than any other country) where do the rest of us stand

You try to explain this and people just start screaming ....they won the championship they should be paid more. Its not a pay gap when you dont generate the revenue....go identify as a man and join the mens team

Yup, try to get them to understand that the women were actually paid MORE based on the percentages. But the way they talk, the Women's World Cup should run at a loss financially and just pay the women whatever they want. These people don't understand basic economics.

I am Australian, it is my country...I love it and recognise it's wonderful features...to me, it is the best country, the greatest country in the world for me. America is not the greatest country for me: I don't live there, but I do see how it has some great features, just as Americans must recognise some great features in Australia. A judgement about what is the 'Greatest country' cannot logically be made by those who live there in, because it follows that they are not likely to be objective.
I think that we should be bloody grateful that we are ultimately solid allies.....

Someone would be crazy not to love their country and not try and present it as "the best".. It's your home!!

I believe a person should live for a decade in at least four different countries to make the declaration about which one is the best.

It's like driving a Corolla for your entire life never getting into another car and saying Toyotas are the best car.

I lived in Vermont which was it's own country at one point and time in its history, does that count?

This became inflamed real quick after what appeared to be humorous post.

eg people in Norway may live longer on average, pay less for items, have efficient free healthcare, get paid more for work and have less crime...therefore thinking it's the best country in the world to live in. And statistically it very well may be the best country in the world to live in using those standards.

Actually I can't with this...I'm biting down too hard.

You tend to like where you live because of an internal bias that's developed.
