The idea that racism is no longer a major issue has merit in the details. The perpetuation of the racist trope is likely a larger societal problem than actual racism.

I do think there is some truth in racism being kept alive by the system, but I wanted to point out that I see it outside of the system as well... But as far as being an old white dude, I don't count myself in that.. When I grew up I only knew black people presented to me as equals at an external level (schools, tv, etc).. We sat in the same classes, had the same food, and were for the most point we were friends.. It's only when the older generation got involved and rammed "nigger nigger nigger" down my throat 30 times a day, and I'm sure Tyrell and the gang had the same thing at their house.. Old uncle Mookie bitchin' about the man and saying "never trust them crackas".. Old people poison clean minds..
