So apparently we the people are incapable of choosing positive past social norms that were inadvisably lost, while also rejecting others that should be gone from the same time period?
Wow, we suck. There are a lot of social mores from decades ago that are worth revisiting because they were better than the social mores we have now.
Not all "progress" is positive. Perhaps we should put the baby back in the tub once in a while.
