My youngest daughter never wanted anything to do with guns, not even air rifles. Recently shes asked me to teach her to shoot. Since she has aspergers and doesn't like loud noises, I've always understood she doesn't like my guns. So, I'm going to buy a 22 revolver, 22 semi ato pistol, and a 22 rifle. First I'll get her to take a firearms training course, ten I'll teach her how I shoot. It's been my experience that only people who have never been around guns are scared of them.

I've known a couple very sweet women who were also very well trained in self-defense.

I think it was the perception of vulnerability that the sweet personality conveyed that made them get trained.
