Still, that was his choice and he knew what he was getting into. It's not like going to a hospital where you don't get the bill until after and it's a ginormous surprise. You know all the costs of going to college up front.

What other choice did he have but accept their ridiculous terms? They have created a monopoly. They have got to be reeled in.

He did his best. I think the main problem actually is that the guy is unbearable.

Edit: in terms of his manner on the stage. Can't speak for the guy in person

Don't mind Repubs on most things, but their environmental policy is a fucking disgrace

So the 15% should voluntarily take enormous economic disadvantages to "save" the other 85%? That would be fucking disgraceful.

I don't know the solution, but it starts with honest debate. From the outside most republicans seem to be in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry, who is financially motivated to delay the transition to more environmentally friendly options.

P.s. I'm not just talking about C02 and the Democrats aren't much better

The biggest objection to climate treaties has consistently been the exclusion of countries as "developing" including China. Maybe we'll all die on that sword, but there is zero chance of the US doing any major moves without the Chinese being held to the same standard.
