Game of Thrones [SPOILERS POSSIBLE]

I thought it was a great season ender...The Hound left for dead beaten by Brianne, Ayra leaving him and traveling on her own...Tyrion killing his ho, then Dad and then getting smuggled out of Kings Landing (along with Varis it appears..), Cersei telling the secret about her and Jamie, Bran and company finding The Children (Bran aging 3 years every season ), Jon Snow meeting the Wildling leader and then King Stannis showing up.. The Mountain surviving and then possibly becoming something different...


more in that one episode than most seasons of other shows

I liked everything about the episode with the possible exception of the storyline about the Mountain.

No, I'm pretty sure he's gonna be dead. He took quite the beating, had the compound fracture of the leg and was begging Arya to kill him (which I don't think he would have done if he thought he was gonna make it).

The one I am less sure of being dead is Tywin. Neither one of those arrow shots looked like they would be fatal, unless he just ends up bleeding out because of them.

I read something about how men in full armor fought in medieval times....we think it's the movie thing - exchange of pretty sword blows and blocks, when actually it's more of a blunt object/fuck the guy over any way you can using whatever brutal methods you can get your hands on

The article said that most good swordsmen knew lethal areas to strike with a sword, but the armor prevented fast deaths...meaning you could hit an open area but the cut wouldn't be deep, so they ended up tipping each other over, then brutalizing the guy with the hilt of your sword/your fist...a rock

I wonder why Arya didn't go with Brienne? She's obviously a skilled fighter (she just beat the Hound FFS) and she knew Catherine Stark and was working for her. I wonder why Arya thought she'd be better off going it alone? And why is she going to see Two-Face?

And definitely with Tywin it's better to make sure he's dead. If he didn't die, then he can let everyone know it was Tyrion that tried to kill him, and if Tyrion thought he (Tywin) wanted him dead before, it's gonna be 1000 times worse now.

the look on her face was excellent when she was watching The Hound lay there and beg for death...like she was 60 years old..

What's Arya gonna go back to with Brienne? The Hound was absolutely right about her chances and she knows it. There's nothing there for her and given the power the Lannisters have, the remainder of her family is an endangered species, including herself. She had a guarantee of help from Jaqen (two-face), and she's naturally curious and adventurous, so why not go and see what the future holds elsewhere?

that would be great if she showed up at King's Landing and fought Cersei
