Lindsay Lohan is racing to make her cross-country touchdown in court—and it looks like it'll be a photo finish.

The embattled actress hopped on a private plane from New York to Los Angeles early Monday morning, E! News has confirmed, in a rush to make her scheduled trial over charges that she violated her probation stemming from her car crash last June.

The flight comes in the wake of reports of an 11th-hour scramble after Lohan hopped off an earlier flight moments before takeoff.

A source exclusively tells E! News that the 26-year-old star was eventually able to finagle a flight aboard a private jet in order to try and make her court date.

She is supposedly expected to arrive in Los Angeles about an hour before her court hearing, which is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. PT, because the plane will need to make one stop along the way to refuel.

According to our source, Lohan was originally set to fly from JFK Airport to Los Angeles International Airport Sunday evening, but she supposedly felt anxious because she was traveling alone—something she reportedly isn't prone to doing—and she subsequently got off the plane.

We're told that two of Lohan's friends are with her on the private jet and that her mother, Dina Lohan, isn't accompanying LiLo on this trip.

Earlier this month, a judge denied a motion by Lohan's attorney, Mark Heller, to put the case on the "slow track" as well as to dismiss charges stemming from the June car crash, during which Lohan is accused of lying to cops that she wasn't behind the wheel.

Lohan, however, was MIA from that court hearing, and she was reportedly spotted clubbing at a Manhattan hot spot the previous evening.

Lindsay Lohan will absolutely, positively be LATE for her trial TMZ has learned ... and the judge could issue a bench warrant for her arrest on her first day of trial.

We've learned ... the private jet that is carrying the infamous defendant is scheduled to land at 8:11 AM in Van Nuys, 20 miles from the courthouse. That means at the time of touchdown -- assuming she lands on time -- she will have 19 minutes to get to the courthouse in the middle of rush hour traffic. Translation: No way in hell.

Sources tell us ... the jet was delayed at JFK in NYC and didn't go wheels up until 6 AM EDT.

There are 2 SUVs waiting at Van Nuys airport to take Lindsay and her entourage to court.

One more complication .... Lindsay left all of her luggage on her original commercial flight. Someone has already retrieved the bags at LAX and has taken them to the Van Nuys Airport. Lindsay will change clothes in the car.

One final thing ... Guess how much the private jet costs? $50,000. Lindsay didn't pay -- The generous folks at Mr. Pink energy drink covered the tab.

Lindsay Lohan made yet another dramatic entrance to the courthouse – nearly an hour late and showered in glitter that somebody threw on her.

Fresh from a private jet that landed at nearby LAX from New York City, the embattled actress, 26, was 48 minutes tardy to a court hearing in her lying to cops case from last June, when she claimed she was not the driver behind her Porsche when it was crashed.

Clad in a dressy white and pink top with white pants, Lohan wore her hair down and straight. Someone threw the glitter on the former Mean Girls star as she walked up to the courthouse with her attorney, Mike Heller.

Her father, Michael Lohan, was also onsite for the hearing, alongside his own attorney, David Wohl.

Lindsay and her estranged father, who were sitting just eight feet apart, did not appear to have any interaction. The truck driver who was hit in the accident sat two rows behind Michael.

Lindsay got up to use the restroom with her entourage midway through the hearing.

11:04 AM PT -- It appears Lindsay has struck a plea deal with prosecutors, which is shocking because up until now ... Lindsay has REFUSED to accept any punishment.

Our clue ... Mark Heller's co-counsel just grabbed a "plea form" from a desk and took it into chambers with him.
