I know what you're talking about. I have a friend who's a blues god. You name it, he can play it. He had a natural ear from his years of playing violin. I had been playing guitar for 9 years when I met him, he had been playing for a year and a half, and he was better than me. BUT... he hit his plateau, and I caught up. Many of our friends, including him, consider me to this day to be the superior guitar player out of the 2 of us. I'm just telling you that I know, I know that where this girl's at, anyone else can get there too. In fact, they can be better. It's not just natural ability. It's work ethic. It's "How bad do you want it?" It's desire. Period. You can have all the natural ability in the world, but if you don't care, or if you get tired, then you say "fuck it" and give up.
