Inuit...we're supposed to say Inuit.
First Nation you bigot

Interestingly our Eskimos share traits with Mongolians and other northerners on the Asiatic continent.
So there is an argument about who was here first, Eskimos or Indians.
So the current Canadian Indians who now go by the First Nations name, may have a battle ensuing with the Eskimo people
regarding who really are the indigenous people of this land.
All I know is it wasn't us white folk
People say the colonists wiped the Indians out. They may have seriously dented the ones in the U.S area but that didnt mean they still werent all over the North American continent in different areas..
Yes Indians did live all over North America for about the past 12000 years My city is founded on Indian territory and they have settled pretty far north in provinces like BC.
The first theory is the same as the origin story of the Eskimos. That they traveled from Asia across the Bering Straight when it was a land bridge.
Recently scientists feel that Indians traveled from more southern locations in Asia and Polynesia.
The big question (to some) is why the genetic disparity between Eskimos and Indians if they essentially all traveled from the same place.
Evolution causes things like squinty eyes (Mongolians) to combat constant living on ice and snow, much like if generations of people settled into hot weather environments, their pigment would eventually darken over time.
One of the questions is why the darker skin and hair for people living in colder climates, along with the minor differences between true Eskimo and Indian heritages. This is where the Polynesian background comes in.
