Harry Styles Says Twerking Promotes Promiscuity, Is "Inappropriate"

Don't expect to ever find Harry Styles twerking -- again! The One Direction member recently revealed that the dance move -- that Miley Cyrus has continued to make headlines with -- is just not his cup of tea.

"I think it's quite inappropriate," the 19-year-old singer told Moviefone while promoting his new 3D concert movie One Direction: This Is Us. "Especially for the age groups it's aimed at," he added. "I think it's, you know, promoting promiscuity."

Styles, like so many others, experienced twerking to the extreme when he attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 25. Scantily clothed, Cyrus, 20, thrusted her hips in a provocative manner several times while performing "Blurred Lines" alongside Robin Thicke, 36.

The boy band heartthrob may think the move is unbecoming, but that didn't keep him from at least trying it out himself. In early August, Styles twerked near his seat at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards with hosts Darren Criss and Lucy Hale by his side.
