that song was used in the show Glee when the ghey guy became the kicker for the football team and Beyonce inspired him to get the footwork right while kicking

This reminds me of being in a band, and not wanting to be in that band shortly thereafter. Brought this to the guys when we were just not jelling together. The guy, who thought it was his band because we used his basement, couldn't come up with a song we could all start out with and I did, so every chance he'd try to shoot me down on a suggestion for a song, a lick, anything.

This song is simple to play and sing, catchy as hell, and our band did a nice edgy almost punk rendition. One word from the killjoy after a week and it was out. So I had my big "are you going to let funsuck here dictate the songs?" to the rest of them. Silence.

I put my guitar back in the case and left, saying "This isn't fun anymore. This band isn't James and the Lackeys, it's a group. Or was until funsuck came along. Buh-bye."

They folded after the drummer's girlfriend took over my rhythm duties, they had gigs at a few BBQs but it folded after summer ended.

I of course called him funsuck thereafter whenever he got uppity...
