They walk for miles, have a bit of a fight. Walk some more, walk into another fight. have a bitch n moan about a hobbit/wizard. make up. walk some fucking more. then the film ends before they've fucking gotten anywhere near the place they wanted to go!!!!!!!!! :theres a fucking wizard with them, why not get him to just teleport you or summon a giant bird to fucking fly you there!! Have to agree with all the LOTR comments...as much as I love the cinematography and all, the movies were way too fucking long
If they cut down on just half the walking and talking and generally doing nothing, the trilogy could have been made into just 2 films instead, or possibly one really long film.
I loved them and didn't mind the walking. After all, there was no mass transit in Middle Earth and they did have a long way to go...which was part of the story ffs
I guess I enjoyed the various parts of the land, the inhabitants etc ...how it changed the closer they got to Mordor.
The line from Samwise (I think) was how he'd never been past Brandybuck Farm in his life. Kind of an analogy for most people who've never seen our world either.

Tank brings up a good point with the birds....we've seen them twice now and if I was a hobbit walking along for 10000 miles with Gandalf, at one point I'd have to say - Gandalf? Why the fuck are we killing our feeteses when we could be flying in style biotch???!!!!

I still have to disagree with Tank, Muddy etc....rarely do I watch a movie and find every scene interesting...there really wasn't much in the LOTR movies that took the viewer out of immersion in terms of effects or true moments...
I read all of the books in my teens, knew what was going to happen and still was pleasantly surprised with the movie adaptations...another rarity (for me anyways), when the movie gives you the feel of the book it's based on.
