IMHO: The in your face aspect is a liberal campaign. It is happening because it is the "cause célèbre" for Hollywood and has become defined as human rights.
As for gay pride parades, I would say a large portion of the community wishes the parade was led by gays in business suits.

I think where we differ is that I can accept it on TV, only because it had to be hidden for so long and let's be honest..we have never had to go through the progression.(being discriminated against for being hetero).I was serious in my post to Porky, if it upsets us to watch two guys smooching, how do you think gay people feel watching heteros kiss? It may cause the same aversion, I don't know....
The Pride parades are where I think gays handle it very badly..

I hear you on the hormonal thing and RBP brought that issue up earlier in a previous thread.. It makes sense but I guess as I see it the hormones are the factor that influences the brain to think a certain way.. So in the end for me I tie it to a "mental disorder" . Maybe I'm wrong in that? I dunno.. I'm not a doctor..
