But was able to secure one yesterday (shopping online Sunday morning). Worked pretty well actually. You do your shopping online, once you pick your pick-up time, you have an hour to checkout or else you lose your slot. You have the option of allowing substitutions on things or to just leave it off if it's out of stock, and you have the option of refusing the substitution at pick-up if you don't want it. Whole thing was free too. When you are on your way to go pick-up, you "check in" on the app and then when you get there, you tell them what spot you're parked in and they bring everything out to you. I was probably only waiting about 5 minutes before they brought my stuff out.

I think I still prefer shopping in person (I do about 99% of the grocery shopping), but in these new times, it worked pretty well. Also signed up with Instacart and have had groceries delivered a few times. Same thing as with Walmart, getting deliver times is hit or miss depending on when you are trying to shop and get things delivered. Not sure if I'll keep Instacart after the pandemic dies down ($9.99/month and you get unlimited free deliveries so long as you hit $35 and you can shop from a bunch of different stores from their app), but for now it works out pretty well, especially since the wife is stuck working from home, so that allows us to be really flexible on when we can have stuff delivered.
My wife is doing the Target pick up today for the kids Easter stuff. This option has calmed her down considerably.

I just wish it was easier to get pick-up and/or delivery times. So many people are using them here that you have to be really lucky to be able to get something the same or next day. It sure is convenient though.

I'm not to good at this home schooling.
So far I've had to suspend 2 kids for fighting on three different occasions and now I'm in trouble for drinking on the job.

Yeah, that's why I went with Instacart. First, the delivery fee was cheaper than the individual charge from either Safeway or Kroger, and second, I can get delivery times a lot sooner than the individual stores had. Safeway and Kroger were both out between 4 and 6 days. Instacart I can usually get a same day delivery on a week day. You just have to have your order in your cart and keep refreshing to see if a same-day delivery slot has opened up.

I'm a huge impulse looker but usually end up walking out with the same stuff.

Same here, but every once and awhile you see something that you've never had before and it look great and you snag it to try. And the only way to discover it is to walk through the store and just stumble across it. But yeah, 98 times out of 100 I'm basically getting the same stuff.

You're gonna be like Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams and start hearing it whispered by no one nowhere.
